Product Description:
The Kl6811 Digital I/O Module is a member of the Kl Analog Input Series from Beckhoff. It is a DALI Bus Terminal with seamless integrability into the DALI protocol, which is mainly used in lighting control. The device has 1 channel and is designed to control up to 64 slaves or 16 groups at maximum. Communication is done via the DALI data transfer standard, whose data transfer rate amounts to 1200 baud. The KL6811 is the ideal solution for the control of lighting networks in which a high degree of control over individual fixtures or groups must be available while providing extremely high flexibility and integration with building automation systems.
The current consumption of the device KL6811 is over the K-bus as high as 55 mA, and over the power contacts 30 mA plus load. It has a nominal working voltage of 24 V DC (-15%/+20%) for fault-free power supply in communication and control. Its bit width of the process image consists of 3-byte input and 3-byte output, thus offering broad data exchange. It offers insulation voltage protection of 1,500 V DC between the DALI bus and the K-bus, and between the DALI bus and power contacts, thus adding layers of safety and making the system more reliable. The DALI power supply is capable of delivering as much as 130 mA, ensuring power supply to devices that are connected, and a surge voltage resistance withstanding 275 V AC constantly applied under a constant load.
The Kl6811 weighs only 80 g but it has a massive structure to serve well in industrialized applications. It fulfills the requirements of DALI/DSI and has an open circuit voltage of 11.5 to 15 V DC that is totally compatible with most devices available for DALI-compatible applications.
