Product Description:
The KL6583 analog input module is manufactured by Beckhoff for seamless integration with the KL6581 bus terminal using a 2-wire connection. It utilizes the CAN transmission standard and with a data transfer rate of 125 Kbyte. The analog module has a maximum cable length to the KL6581 is 500 meters in line topology. Power is supplied via the 24 VDC power contacts from the KL6581 and consumes the 20 mA of current.
The KL6583 analog input module has an integrated antenna housing and is suitable for various mounting options that include ceiling or wall installations. The module operates within the 868 MHz frequency band, offering a center frequency of 868.3 MHz and a permissible transmission power of 25 mW. The module’s housing has a grey-white (RAL 9002) color with a round upper section measuring 57 mm in height and 72 mm in diameter. It also meets the EMC immunity and emission criteria of EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4. The protection class is IP40. It has a maximum transmission range of 300 meters in open space and 30 meters indoors with the typical transmission power set at 2 mW (3 dBm). It supports radio telegrams depending on sensor type, with an unlimited number of user bytes.
The KL6583 analog input module is suitable for temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C and may be stored between -25 °C and 85 °C. It can withstand a relative humidity of up to 95% without condensation. The main housing has a 110 mm flange connector. The module meets the vibration and shock resistance characteristics established by EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27.
