The BK KL6301 is a small and robust analog input module designed for the twisted pair (TP) network for efficient field level communication. It is one of Beckhoff's KL Analog Input Modules series, which makes for reliable serial data transmission in industrial automation systems. The KL6301 is suited for connecting field devices that need reliable and consistent data transfer and has a single communication channel and fixed data transfer rate of 9600 baud.
KL6301 is designed for the point to point communication via 2-wire TP connection which simplifies wiring and ensures the signal integrity. Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) is used for data transmission management to avoid network collision and improve the communication bandwidth utilization efficiency.
