The Beckhoff KL6211 is an intelligent analog input module for use with AS-Interface (Actuator Sensor Interface) networks. The KL Analog Input Modules series is a part of the KL Analog Input Modules series, which has been engineered to make it easy to integrate AS-i slave devices into modular control architectures which makes it a good fit for decentralized automation environments. The KL6211 has been designed as a single channel communication device, which supports both AS-Interface protocol versions 2.0 and 2.1 and therefore is compatible with many devices. The module can support up to 31 slaves in version 2.0 and up to 62 slaves (digital and analog) in version 2.1. The adaptability of the KL6211 allows it to deal with complex automation settings without the need for additional interfaces.
One thing that sets this module apart are its diagnostic capabilities, it continually looks for power failures, slave malfunctions, and parameterization errors.
