This KL6021-0023 of Beckhoff is a serial interface terminal designed to enable the connection to a communication system for use with wireless adapters based on EnOcean radio technology. This KL6021-0023 serial interface terminal features one input and to interface with the KL6023 wireless adapter. The connecting cable for this interface requires two twisted pairs by ensuring effective communication over a maximum distance of 300 meters. It works at data transfer rates as 120-19,200 baud and default 9600 baud with no parity and one stop bit. This KL series serial interface terminal offers an 11 x 8-bit user data bit width along with 1 x 8-bit control/status. Its electronics are powered through the K-bus system by drawing a typical current of 65 mA. It is compact in size and weighs approximately 60 grams and has dimensions of 15 mm in width, 100 mm in height, and 70 mm in depth. It is mounted on a 35 mm mounting rail and has 120 ohms line impedance.

The KL6021-0023 serial interface terminal is suitable for use in a variety of environments with an operational temperature range of 0°C to +55°C and a storage temperature range of -25°C to +85°C.
