Product Description:

The KL5151-0021 is an incremental encoder interface module made by Beckhoff that is meant to be used in systems for industrial automation. By processing data from incremental encoders, the module makes it possible to find the exact position and speed of something. The interface module runs on 24 V DC power and is built to meet EN 61131-2 standards, that means it will work reliably and can be used in automation settings.

The KL5151-0021 incremental encoder interface has two incremental encoder channels and three inputs: A and B. With 4-fold evaluation, this channel is capable of quadrature decoding. With a resolution of 32 bits, this counter is capable of processing up to 400 thousand steps per second. A zero-pulse latch with 32 bits of data and sensor inputs for gates and latches is available on this module. Its encoder is 24 V DC compatible and comes with read/set/enable instructions. You get control and flexibility over the encoder interface with these commands. In the process image, the unit that draws around 40 mA from the K-bus to power itself has two 32-bit data inputs and two 8-bit control/status inputs.

The KL5151-0021 works in temperatures from negative twenty-five to sixty degrees and can be stored at a maximum temperature of eighty-five degrees Celsius. The interface module meets the standards for shaking and shock resistance set by EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27. It also meets the standards for EMC immunity and emission set by EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4. The module has an IP20 for protection, and it can be put in different places. We send this encoder globally and offer a one-year replacement warranty.
