Product Description:
The KL4021 is a Beckhoff Automation bus terminal unit equipped with single-ended technology and widely known for its ability to maintain optimum operation over long periods. This terminal is able to process between 4 to 20 milliampere of current at a resolution of about 12 bits. It only has a single output channel, which is electrically isolated. The KL4021 bus terminal is equipped with Light Emitting Diodes (LED); these diodes help customers to know the current data exchange status of the terminal with the bus encoder. There are special power contacts integrated into this unit; this contact is intended for the connection of the terminal to a 24-volt power supply unit. The load capacity of this product is estimated to be less than 500 ohms, and its average conversion time during operation is about 1.5 milliseconds. The power contacts consume about 30 milliamperes; this is separate from the load consumption.
The KL4021 is produced and delivered as a standard device; operators do not have to spend time carrying out configuration or address settings on the unit. Before this unit is used, it should be provided with reliable protection from common industrial contamination like dust and water splash. The housing material of this unit is polycarbonate; it is lightweight and has a high impact resistance.
The KL4021 terminal should not be modified to suit specific application requirements; any attempt to do this can lead to the loss of warranty provided for the unit and electrical accidents. The peak installation operating ambient temperature for this unit is 50 degrees Celsius; if the unit is in storage, ambient temperature should be maintained between -25 to 85 degrees Celsius.
