Product Description:
The KL4002-0011 is an analog signal terminal manufactured by Beckhoff and assigned to the KL analog output modules series. Within the segmented Bus Terminal system, it occupies a single slice and provides two independent analog output channels. By converting controller values into field-level analog signals inside the terminal row, it lets a PLC command actuators, set reference signals, or drive other analog-controlled devices without external converter boards. This supports compact distributed automation layouts where analog control must be integrated directly beside digital I/O.
Process data is exchanged as two 16-bit data words, giving the controller room for output values and channel status information. A typical conversion time of 0.15 ms allows rapid updates on both channels when setpoints change quickly. Internally, the converter uses 12-bit resolution, while the remaining bits are used for status information rather than additional analog granularity. The terminal has 2 channels with a common ground, which suits installations where both outputs share the same reference potential. With a protection category of IP20, the terminal is intended for installation inside a control cabinet.
The housing measures 12 mm × 100 mm × 68 mm and clips directly onto a 35 mm DIN rail, so it fits easily into dense terminal assemblies. Its permitted mounting position is variable, allowing horizontal or vertical installation without special orientation limits. The casing is made of polycarbonate, which provides electrical insulation and durability for typical cabinet conditions. Operating power for the signal electronics is supplied via the K-Bus, which eliminates the need for a separate local supply connection on the terminal body. Because there are no power contacts, the module does not pass field voltage to adjacent slices.
