The KL3454 Analog Input Module features four entry points that offer suitable performance for monitoring numerous current signals at the same time.
The K-bus acts as the power supply for the terminal, which enables quick data exchange through EtherCAT integration. Industrially common sensor signals between 4 to 20 mA serve as the operational input range for which the KL3454 was specifically developed. The module maintains accurate signal acquisition through its internal resistance, which stays below 85 Ω. The processing duration takes 2 ms to maintain quick time-dependent process management, together with 12-bit resolution to offer precise measurement of current signals. The measurement system displays minimal error, which remains below ±0.3% relative to the whole scale to ensure precision in diverse operational environments. Surge voltage protection of the terminal reaches up to 30 V DC to safeguard the system, along with its long service lifetime. The module incorporates 35 V DC (continuous) overvoltage protection to help protect the system from electrical surges.
