Product Description:

The KL3356 is an Analog input terminal designed for direct connection of a resistor bridge, supporting precise strain measurement in industrial automation. The terminal is built to meet strict measurement and integration standards, and Beckhoff is renowned for developing automation parts that work in combination with control systems.

The KL3356 analog input terminal operates on a bridge supply voltage ranging from 5 to 12 V and is capable of handling signals with a voltage range of ±20 mV. Due to its 16-bit resolution and measurement inaccuracy that is less than ±0.01% of full scale, accurate data gathering is guaranteed. The input resistance for UD is greater than 1 MΩ, and the programmed conversion time of the terminal is less than 250 ms. The input terminal self-calibrates every three minutes to provide measurement stability and complies with EMC standards EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4. The terminal is 85 mA power hungry and may be attached to a 35 mm DIN rail; it runs on the K-bus. -25°C to +85°C is the storage temperature range and 0°C to +55°C is the operational temperature range. The terminal's polycarbonate housing provides IP20 protection, and it complies with safety and reliability criteria set by CE, UL, ATEX, and IECEx.

This dynamic environment is ideal for the KL3356 analog input terminal because it is built to withstand vibrations according to EN 60068-2-6. The input bit width for the process image is 2 × 16 bits, which allows for efficient data transfer. The terminal can handle current loads of up to 10 A and has an input voltage UREF maximum of 12 V. The polycarbonate material guarantees long-term durability and reliable performance, and the enclosure measures 12 mm × 100 mm × 68 mm. Without human interaction, the input terminal's self-calibration capability guarantees long-term measurement accuracy.
