Product Description:

The KL3314 input module is constructed to be easily plugged with thermocouple sensors of wide sensor types like J, K, L, B, E, N, R, S, T, and U types. It has the capability of being measured exactly millivolts in the range of ±30 mV to ±120 mV. Running in default mode for type K sensors, it can read from -100°C to +1370°C of temperature and thus offer flexibility to carry out a variety of thermal monitoring tasks.

The device is highly suited to high-accuracy use in automation where accurate thermal input is of vital importance. It is easily integrated into K-bus systems and permits continuous data flow in distributed control schemes. Each input channel can be separately programmed to read specific from other sensors irrespective of hardware revision. Its compact form factor allows for mounting in limited panels without compromising high-performance construction. The product meets stringent environmental and safety standards and is ATEX and IECEx approved. These markings qualify it for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, with protection level Ex ec IIC T4 Gc, to provide safe operation in hazardous environments. Its small size enables high-density installations without sacrificing system accessibility. The module digitizes and filters analog input signals, providing an accurate representation of real-world thermal fluctuations. It is best suited for application in interfacing temperature-critical processes such as chemical processing or food-grade production lines. Support for multiple thermocouple types also enables the use of it to interface various legacy and new equipment without the need to reconfigure. The mV input capability provided here also enables connection to specialized signal sources other than standard thermocouples.

The KL3314's appropriateness to series of specific sensors and safety certifications make it a trustworthy component for high-demand measurement solutions. Explosion protection marking makes it trustworthy in explosive working conditions.
