The KL3152 analog module is commonly used in factories and plants to monitor parameters like temperature, pressure or flow. It is made by Beckhoff and its modular industrial systems are known for their sturdy build quality and practical integration features.

The KL3152 analog module works on differential type input method by providing isolation among the input signals and system. The two independent current channels provided in the device meet the demands of multi-channel measurement setups. It receives its power from the K-bus which is not necessary and the wiring becomes less complicated. It is widely used in industrial automation control and measurement systems using a range of the terminal set to 4-20 milli Amperes. To achieve reliable current measurement, the module has a shunt resistor with a typical internal resistance of 100 ohms. It delivers a 2 x 16-bit process image and optionally has a 2 x 8-bit control and status interface to support more simple diagnostics and control needs. To provide better accuracy, the terminal is developed to enhance its internally processed signals. Its programmable 50 Hz filter serves to suppress power supply noise and enhances signal quality.

The KL3152 analog module’s acceptability of connection wires extends to AWG28 to AWG14 for solid or stranded and AWG26 to AWG16 for fine-stranded types. A maximum UCM of ±10 V on the terminal ensures that voltage differences between input lines and ground do not cause measurement errors. By default, the conversion time is 140 ms and it is changeable based on the requirements of the domain. The large variety of wiring supported by the KL3152 makes it a proficient choice for integration into numerous control cabinets.
