The Beckhoff KL3112 bus terminal detects open leads or overloads and relays status updates through the system. The terminal supports two differential inputs each handling current signals from 0 to 20 mA. Its internal shunt resistance is typically 50 Ω while the load condition is 60 Ω plus diode voltage. The model can withstand a maximum common mode voltage of 35 V and offers surge resistance up to 35 V DC. The resolution is adjustable set by default at 15 bits but configurable up to 16 bits for greater accuracy. Conversion time of the terminal is 140 ms but can be tuned down to 2 ms if needed.
