The KL3102 Terminal is the development of Beckhoff. The terminal can function very well in performing industrial automation tasks and it ensures highly efficient and precise operation.
The KL3102 terminal has a very low weight of 70 g which supports easy DIN rail mounting and handling in compact control cabinets. Its high input resistance of greater than 200 kΩ which ensures minimal load on the measured signal source. The module noise filtering at 50 Hz helps suppress power line interference. It offers high precision analog to digital conversion which enables accurate signal capture over the voltage range. The power it consumes from the K bus is 65 m amperes. No external power wiring needed for module electronics which simplifies installation and wiring. Its small size of approximately 15 mm x 100 mm x 70 mm allows dense installation on DIN rails which minimizes space requirements in control panels. Each of its input channels provides 16 bit data resolution, with optional status and control bits which facilitates precise digital communication. The maximum voltage that can be present equally on both input terminals without causing malfunction is 35 volts.
The KL Analog Input Modules series has a high measurement accuracy across the entire signal range with the measuring error of < ±0.3 % relative to full scale value. It is able to simultaneously acquire signals from two separate analog sources. It accepts bipolar analog input signals from -10 V … +10 V which makes it suitable for a wide variety of industrial sensors and devices. It protects internal electronics and prevents signal interference by isolating field side and system side voltages.
