The KL3062-0000 is a two-channel analog input terminal manufactured by Beckhoff for the KL Analog Input Modules series. Installed next to a Bus Coupler, it digitizes single-ended voltage signals and places them onto the K-bus so that a central controller can read real-time process variables for monitoring or closed-loop control tasks in industrial automation. Its signal interface is single-ended, simplifying field wiring where differential noise rejection is unnecessary.
This terminal occupies only 12 mm of rail width and stands 100 mm tall, while its depth is 68 mm, allowing dense cabinet layouts. The polycarbonate housing protects the electronics without increasing weight. With 2 analog inputs available, each channel is converted at a resolution of 12 bit, providing adequate granularity for typical sensor ranges. The resulting data are transferred over the backplane with a process image width of 2 x 16 bit, so each channel’s value and status arrive at the controller in a single cyclical update. No separate supply wiring is required because the module draws operating power directly from the K-bus, and it includes no power contacts, keeping the internal potential isolated from high-current lines.
