The KL2634 is a bus terminal. It belongs to the KL Analog Input Modules series. The module of Beckhoff is designed specifically for applications pertaining to industrial automation.
The KL2634 Bus Terminal operating temperature range is 0 to 55°C. It uses electromechanical relays for switching which is ideal for isolating control signals. It is slim and compact with dimensions 12 mm x 100 mm x 68 mm. It can handle resistive loads like heaters and inductive loads like motors. In this module there are 4 output channels each with a normally open relay contact. It can operate with both AC and low voltage DC systems such as 250 V AC and 30 V DC respectively. In this bus terminal each channel can safely switch up to 2 amps when connected to inductive loads. The terminal housing is constructed from a durable plastic known for impact resistance and electrical insulation. It is designed for easy and standardized mounting in electrical enclosures. The module weighs 70 grams which reduces strain on DIN rail mounts.
The KL2634 bus terminal maps 4 output bits in the controller’s process image. All of its field wiring is galvanically isolated from the internal electronics for safety and noise reduction. Its compatible wiring connectors simplify installation and maintenance. In this module the mechanical life of each relay is at least 20 million operations. It can detect and switch very small signals with minimum permitted load of 0.1 mA at 0.1 V DC which makes it suitable for sensitive control tasks. It has a space saving design with visual indicators for channel status. This terminal is compliant with industrial electromagnetic compatibility standards.
