Product Description:

The Beckhoff’s KL2512 output terminal is designed for industrial automation purposes. This output terminal uses a 24 V DC nominal voltage. It has a tolerance of minus 15 percent to plus 20 percent in voltage. This makes it possible to operate stably with supply disparity. The terminal allows controlled switching tasks with ohmic load types.

The KL2512 output terminal has two output channels, and each will accept a maximum current of 1.5A, which makes it adequate for low-load actuators. The duty factor on the terminal can be varied from 0% to 100%. It is possible to achieve exact control through pulse width modulation. The range of the PWM clock frequency is 1 Hz to 20 kHz. The 250 Hz is the default frequency of the clock. The output resolution is defined up to 10 bits. The KL2512 output terminal offers electrical isolation of 500 V. This isolation isolates the K-bus from the field potential. It offers two 16-bit data channels and two 8-bit control or status channels. This supports sidestepping integration with control systems. There is no need to set a physical address through the terminal. It is configured directly through the Bus Coupler or by the controller. This also decreases the time required to set up in the field.

The KL2512 output terminal withdraws about 18 mA from the k-bus during operation. The power contacts require about 10 mA and the connected load current. The terminal has a compact housing with integrated signal LEDs. This output terminal complies with EN standard for EMC and emissions. The net weight of this KL terminal is around 50 grams. This lightweight design enables easy/convenient DIN rail mounting. The process image has 48 inputs and outputs in the bit width.
