Product Description:
The KL2488 is an Analog Output Module which is a part of the KL Analog Input Series by Beckhoff and is used in Industrial Automation. This module integrates a one-wire interface for convenient control of various types of load, including ohmic, inductive, and lamp loads, allowing it to be used in a wide range of industrial applications.
This module provides eight outputs, each of which can manage a voltage of 24 V DC nominal with an allowed variation of -15 to +20%. The output current is high, delivering 0.5 A per channel, allowing for driving most conventional loads in automation systems. The module is also designed to tolerate short circuit currents of up to 7A as well as having a maximum breaking energy of less than 100mJ per channel during a fault condition. Overvoltage protection is also provided to protect the module and other devices connected to it from voltage in the opposite direction. Power consumption is efficient at the moment, with about 60 mA plus load on the power contacts and about 18 mA from the K-bus stressing its energy-saving capability. The bit width in the process image of the KL2488 is set to 8 outputs to ensure that control signals provided to other connected devices are distinct and unambiguous. This module has a weight of 70 grams and dimensions of 142mm x 94mm x 16mm and is built to be durable, it has an operating and storage temperature of 0 to 55°C and -25 to 85°C respectively.
