Product Description:
The KL1862 is a compact and extremely durable digital Input terminal manufactured by Beckhoff Automation to help improve connection in automation systems. This product offers customers the opportunity to use a 16-channel digital input without taking up too much space; it also allows for the easy determination of signal states on these inputs using the LED indicators. The KL1862 contains a 3 millisecond input filter, which eliminates the risk of bouncing due to mechanical switches. It also allows for a direct integration of connectors that feature insulation displacement contacts. During operation, the KL1862 requires the supply of a nominal voltage of about 24 volts. The “0” signal voltage is between -3 to +5 while the “1” signal voltage for this product is typically between 11 to 30 volts according to EN 61131-2.
The current consumed by the KL1862 from the K Bus is estimated to be about 3 milliamperes, it also has an electrical isolation value of approximately 500 volts.
