The KL1809-KL1809 is one of the analog input modules developed by Beckhoff in the KL Analog Input Series. This module is designed robustly enough to accept directly digital signals with high accuracies. It operates at 24 V DC (-15%/+20%) nominal voltage among many industrial automation applications. This module allows the desired signal processing with an accurate signal voltage '0' between -3 to +5 V and signal voltage '1' in the range of 11 to 30 V. It is available in multiple kinds of signal types as confirmed in the EN 61131-2 (type 1/3) standards.
It has an input filter with a delay of 3.0 ms, which allows for noise filtering and accurate signal reading for high-speed and sensitive applications. At the same time, the module takes 20 mA from the K-bus, and its current consumption at the power contacts is 4 mA plus load. Its input current is generally 3 mA, so this terminal is in conformity with the specifications of EN 61131-2, type 3 and hence, an energy-efficient as well as extremely effective terminal in data acquisition.
