Product Description:

The KL1704 Bus Terminal from Beckhoff is for standard digital input applications of industrial automation. KL1704 Bus Terminal interconnects using basic two-wire technology. It has a total of four independent digital input channels. The terminal is operated at a nominal frequency of 120 V AC or 230 V AC.

The KL1704 bus terminal has a typical input filter of 10ms. This filter is useful in eliminating signal noise when in operation. It detects a “0” signal when the input voltage is between 0 and 40 V. It identifies a “1” signal if the voltage varies from 79 to 260 V. The input is 4.6 mA and 2.3 mA for current input 230 V and 120 V, respectively. This makes it possible to have efficient use of the power at both voltages. The KL1704 bus terminal draws about 3 mA from the K-bus. The K-bus is isolated electrically from mains voltage. The isolation strength is rated at 500 volts. The unit also conforms to a 3750 V AC dielectric strength for one minute. In the process image, the four input widths are provided by the KL1704 Bus Terminal. There is no address required or any additional configuration settings. This makes installation and setup easy in automation systems.

The KL1704 bus terminal has an operating temperature range from 0°C to +55°C. It is rated with IP20 protection for use in control cabinets. The dimensions of the terminal are compact, 12 mm by 100 mm by 68 mm. It is manufactured to be mounted on industrial standards of DIN rail. This Bus Terminal is an appropriate place to measure the AC voltage signal. It has switching times of approximately 10 milliseconds for signal processing. It delivers a reliable run in different industrial settings.
