The Beckhoff KL1352 is referred to as a 2-channel micro digital input module. It belongs to the KL Analog Input Module series. It is engineered for the analysis of NAMUR sensor signals. This analog input module can identify open circuit and short circuit electrical conditions within its installation system.

The KL1352 input module permits direct connection of the NAMUR sensor in accordance with IEC 60947-5-6 safety requirements. It is rated IP20 and can be installed with a changeable position. It has two inputs and is connected via a 2-wire method. The open circuit voltage is typically 8.2 V DC. The "0" signal current is less than 1.2 mA while the "1" signal current is more than 2.1 mA. The short-circuit current is normally 8.2 mA. The short-circuit detection begins at >6.5 mA. It has a switching hysteresis of 0.2 mA for precise signal detection.
