The KL1232 Input Terminal is made for industrial automation tasks. It is made by Beckhoff with a focus on efficiency and performance. It is perfect for industrial connection systems that require stable power inputs.

The KL1232 input terminal has an input filter of 0.2 ms which represents a filtering delay of 0.2 milliseconds to debounce or smooth out noisy signals. The terminal meets electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards for electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical bursts. The module each input typically draws about 5 milliamperes when activated. It communicates with the controller using 2 input bits in the process image (memory map) which corresponds to the 2 physical input channels. For vibration and shock it complies with IEC 68-2-6 / IEC 68-2-27 which makes it suitable to operate in environments with the presence of mechanical stress. The module has two digital input channels and each one can independently read a binary signal (on/off).
