Product Description:

Designed by Beckhoff, the CU1128-1005 EtherCAT junction and hub has eight RJ 45 ports as bus interfaces. This product supports line, star, and tree topologies. The device replaces multiple EK1122 systems from the manufacturer when a star topology needs multiple branches at a specific point. This unit's operation takes place in combination with compatible TwinCAT and other EtherCAT masters. The first port serves as the network input, while the remaining ports allow connection to the EK1100 or other EtherCAT box modules for expanded functionality.

The device is connected through an RJ 45 socket. This unit is not a substitute for an Ethernet switch. This product needs no configuration to be used. The device uses a shielded Cat.5 Ethernet/EtherCAT cable for data transfer at a 100 Mbit/s rate. This unit supports a maximum distance of 100 m between stations. Its operating temperature is set from -25 C to 60 C.

This product's inappropriate handling can lead to its damage. The device supports a variable installation position and DIN rail mounting. This unit weighs close to 430 g and is sized at 122 x 100 x 38 mm (W x H x D) without its connectors. It can function like a distributed reference clock. The EtherCAT junction and hub comprises three internal communication ICs in a series connection. It complies with EMC immunity and emission standards of EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4. The device has high reliability and a compact size. This unit features UL listing and CE certification. It is mandatory to pay attention to the sequence of its EtherCAT slaves.
