Product Description:

The Beckhoff ES3742 is a high-performance EtherCAT terminal that provides high speed and high accuracy in signal processing in automation systems. Apart from that, two differential inputs can handle the signal current of 0 to 20 mA. It receives power directly from the E-bus, therefore, there is no need for many wires, and thus it is easy to install. This EtherCAT terminal provides a maximum sampling rate per channel of 10 microseconds or 100,000 samples per second, thereby making it favorable for high-speed data transfer to support real-time applications.

This EtherCAT terminal is also designed with an oversampling capability that allows the user to select an oversampling factor from 1 to 100. The input signal bandwidth recommended for this terminal is up to 30 KHz, and the input filter limit frequency is up to 80 KHz for reliable data transfer and storage. Another advantage of this EtherCAT terminal is a Distributed Clock, which offers an exceptionally high accuracy of less than one microsecond and ensures synchronization of measurements and performance in several terminals.

The ES3742 EtherCAT terminal offers a high 16 bits of resolution, including precise signals, which ensures the quick conversion of the input signals. The conversion time of the terminal is as low as 10 microseconds, which is appropriate for several industrial applications. It has an internal resistance of 85 ohms + diode voltage and a maximum common-mode voltage of 10 V. It draws approximately 200 mA current through the E-bus and has an operating temperature of -25C ~ 60C. Altogether, the Beckhoff ES3742 is an effective and high-speed terminal for applications where reliable and high-precision current signal processing is crucial, like the Automation industry.
