Product Description:
The ES7041 EtherCAT Terminal exists under the Beckhoff ES series that can support and manage both unipolar and bipolar 2-phase stepper motors. A single output channel in this industrial automation device focuses on stepper motor control and lets users easily connect motors directly. Users can configure the step frequency at 8000 full steps per second through this Terminal.
The ES7041 etherCAT terminal provides 5.0 A maximum output current, which keeps motors running efficiently in various automation functions. The terminal accepts 24 V DC through its power contacts as its electronic supply, but its power supply can range from 8 V DC to 48 V DC, which comes from external sources. Due to having a current controller frequency operation of approximately 30 kHz, the motor control current regulation remains stable and continuous. Standard application environments allow the resolution to reach 5000 positions for each motor revolution. An input signal from the encoder requires a 5V DC to 24V DC single-ended interface that needs a typical current of 5mA. The ES7041 etherCAT terminal can receive up to 400,000 increments per second through a 4-fold evaluation. The device enables micro-stepping operations at 64 levels and provides us with improved motor precision and reduced vibrations during operation.
The ES7041 etherCAT terminal fulfills EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4 standard requirements on EMC immunity and emissions for protected industrial operation. The operating temperature of the terminal ranges from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, which ensures stable performance under different environmental conditions. The exterior housing of this terminal employs polycarbonate material to give protection and defensive capabilities against mechanical damage. Travel distance control functions and an encoder input enable the device to improve motor positioning accuracy.
