Product Description:

The ES2634 is produced by Beckhoff to serve the purpose of efficient relay terminal output switching in automation systems. It has an ohmic switching capacity of 4 A per channel yet the inductive switching capacity reaches 2 A per channel and operates with minimum click loads of 0.1 mA at 0.1 V DC through 120 clicks per minute.

The ES2634 terminal depends on relay output connection technology that functions without needing address or configuration parameters. Its relay output technology enables pluggable wiring which works with all ES terminal series. The housing material of the ES26 terminal is constructed from polycarbonate and measures 12 mm in width and extend 100 mm in height with 68 mm depth while meeting the requirements of EN 60715 standards for TS35 mounting. The ES26 terminal works with a 30 V DC or 250 V AC nominal voltage power for both ohmic and inductive loads. It enables installation of solid conductors of 1.5 mm² and flexible conductors using 1.5 mm² ferrules while the adequate wire needed for connections measures from 9 mm to 10 mm. The ES26 terminal’s E-bus module consumes a current of 80 mA and provides absolute separation between the electronic circuit and the high-voltage field potential which reaches up to 500 V.

The ES2634 terminal box provides four digital outputs and the mechanical operating cycles function with a minimum of 20 million cycles that switch at 18,000 operations per hour. It operates within the thermal conditions of -25°C to +60°C and can be stored within the temperature boundaries of -40°C and +85°C. The ES26 terminal shows tolerance to 95% relative humidity without moisturization and it fulfills vibration as well as shock resistance specifications according to EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27.

Frequently Asked Questions about ES2634:

Q: Why is the E-bus current consumption of 80 mA significant in the ES2634?

A: The 80 mA current ensures efficient data and power transmission across the terminal bus, supporting stable digital switching without overloading system resources.

Q: What is the benefit of 18,000 operations per hour switching rate in ES2634?

A: This high switching frequency enables real-time relay actuation, ideal for fast-paced automation environments needing frequent state changes.

Q: Why does the ES2634 support both 30 V DC and 250 V AC?

A: Supporting both voltages offers flexibility for use in mixed-voltage environments, allowing engineers to integrate it into a wide range of industrial systems.

Q: What makes pluggable wiring useful in the ES2634 terminal?

A: Pluggable wiring reduces installation time and allows for easy module replacement or expansion without rewiring the entire system.

Q: What is the role of minimum click load specification (0.1 mA at 0.1 V DC) in the ES2634?

A: This allows reliable operation even under extremely low load conditions, which is essential for interfacing with sensitive low-power devices.
