Product Description:
The ES1502 is a versatile Beckhoff digital input terminal designed to function as an up/down counter in automated systems. It efficiently processes digital signals for applications requiring precise counting of events, such as frequency measurement and tallying parts in assembly lines. Designed to integrate seamlessly into EtherCAT networks, the terminal offers reliable and real-time performance in a wide range of automation tasks. The terminal is well suited for fast paced systems and boasts a counting frequency capability of up to 100 kHz.
The terminal offers flexible connection technology, providing 1 up/down counter or 2 separate up or down counters. This flexibility allows for different counting configurations to suit various system and application requirements. Users can easily tailor the terminal to suit specific either single or dual counting operations, enhancing versatility in various setups. The terminal supports a current input of 5 mA, which ensures low power consumption. This helps to minimize the load on the power supply, contributing to energy savings and overall system efficiency. The output of the terminal is rated at 24 V at 0.5 A for each of its two channels, ensuring stable and secure operation.
The ES1502 has a 32-bit counter depth, allowing for precise counting of large values in high-resolution applications. This terminal can handle more complex counting tasks, providing high accuracy over longer periods or with more data. The terminal allows users to set counters and switch outputs using its "set counters" functionality. It also features a "switch outputs" feature that provides the ability to control external devices directly, such as starting or stopping machinery or activating alarms. For enhanced usability, the terminal comes with built-in signal LEDs, ensuring that users can monitor operation at a glance.
