The EP9521-0020 EtherCAT media converter uses optical fibers for operation. This converter aids in conversion from optical fiber media to copper media and vice versa. The product is compatible with multi-mode fiber optic cables. This device transfers data directly between two media. The unit functions bidirectionally with constant delay but without collision. It supports fast link control as well as closing the EtherCAT strand safely when a fault takes place. This converter is configured through a switch that allows selecting the link loss forwarding option for normal EtherCAT operation.
