Product Description:
Produced by Beckhoff, the EP3751-0160 3-axis accelerometer with ultra-low noise is a one-channel EtherCAT box. This accelerometer supports three measuring ranges of +/2 g, +/-4 g, and +/-8 g. The product depicts a sampling frequency of 4 kHz and a refresh rate of 20 bits. This device is primarily deployed to monitor bridges and buildings and in robotics. The units built-in sensor is ideal for applications that demand monitoring of low frequencies with minimum noise. Its EtherCAT connection supports delay-free transmission followed by the measurement system evaluation. This accelerometer also supports the transmission of the sensor data as unprocessed or filtered raw values.
The products housing incorporates nickel-plated brass metal parts and gold-plated CuZn contacts. The device tends to malfunction with dirty connectors. The units IP 67 protection class is ensured only with properly connected connectors and cables. Its M8 plug connectors must be screwed tightly with a tightening torque of 0.4 Nm using a torque wrench. This accelerometers connectors for supply voltages and EtherCAT connections are black and green colored and must not be interchanged. The product utilizes four wires to transmit the signals. It is required to use only category 5 shielded EtherCAT cables in compliance with EN 50173 specifications for connection.
This accelerometer-associated EtherCAT box uses the input for the control voltage and peripheral voltage. This product has no compatibility with telecommunication networks. The device supports integration into a TwinCAT project. This units functionality can be checked with a self-test. Its housing has two M3 mounting holes with a diameter of 3.5 mm. This 3-axis accelerometer encompasses a distributed clock function.
