A total of 16 channels are available, allowing one housing to supervise multiple photoelectric sensors, proximity switches, or push buttons. The module connects to the EtherCAT network through 2 × M12 shielded sockets, which receive bus communications and forward telegrams to the next node in line. Every input draws only 6 mA, keeping sensor loading low, and the built-in debounce network suppresses contact chatter with a fixed propagation delay of 3 ms.
