The EM3712 pressure measuring module delivered by Beckhoff is typically an EtherCAT terminal that comprises two channels featuring a couple of analog inputs. This module is used for relative pressure measurement in a -1 bar to +1 bar range. The product-related pressure value can be assigned to the related controller directly as a 16-bit value. The unit is designed to replace traditional pressure switches and visually shows when the pressure exceeds its defined range. It's not suitable for use with aggressive gases.

Classified under the EM37xx series, the terminal measures pressure relative to the environment, which makes it ideal for use in precise applications. This device needs no manual settings to be done. The unit supports up to 5 bar or 5000 hPa overload. The controller records pressure value as a parameter, which switches thresholds for performing logical operations seamlessly. This module has air hose connections on its threaded push-in fittings. The product disposal must be done as industrial waste. This device is deployed in packaging plants for eggs to monitor suction and identify pressure deviations. The unit's operating temperature should not exceed 55 C. Its channels have a bit width of 2 bytes.

This pressure measuring module and its E-Bus supply must have the same ground potential in a terminal block. The product's ambient storage temperature varies from -25 C to 85 C.
