The ELM9410-0000 terminal is produced by Beckhoff within the ELM EtherCAT Terminals series. It is a DIN-rail-mounted I/O module that conditions sensor power, forwards data over the EtherCAT E-Bus, and supports integrated motion and condition monitoring in automated machines. By combining power distribution with field-level measurement, the unit helps controllers acquire high-resolution vibration or position signals while maintaining a compact footprint inside electrical enclosures and reducing the amount of separate interface hardware. Its primary role is to simplify wiring and support real-time data exchange for servo axes and monitoring channels.
The terminal draws an upstream supply of 24 V DC. Its baseline demand is 50 mA + load from the Up pins, while the Us feed requires 100 mA plus one quarter of the summed E-Bus current, so the power budget can be estimated from connected modules. Internally, it converts the control voltage to 5 V DC and can source up to 2 A onto the E-Bus, which provides stable logic power for adjacent terminals. The two power contacts are rated for 24 V DC at 2 A, and the enclosure has an IP20 rating for use inside control cabinets.
The housing measures 30 x 100 x 95 mm and snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail, which helps the module fit compact cabinet layouts without requiring special mounting hardware. A zinc die-cast shell adds rigidity and supports electromagnetic shielding during operation.
