The ELM3604-0000 is an Ethernet Terminal manufactured by Beckhoff Automation. This product reflects the successful combination of established precision measurement technology for machine design and industrial engineering. It contains four multi-functional channels with many integrated measurement ranges. The product is specially designed for the accurate evaluation of Integrated Electronics Piezo-Electric sensors, which are used in vibration diagnostics, acceleration sensors, and measurement microphones. The constant current feed of this device can be set to 0, 2, or 4 milliamperes, and the input characteristics can also be adjusted from DC. The channels on this device can be parameterized separately; the product also features a 24-bit resolution , ensuring a high signal detail for accurate operation. The product can be directly connected through its Push-in connector technology with a 2-pin service plug.

The Maximum sampling rate of the ELM3604-0000 is as high as 50 microseconds/ 20 kilo-samples; this sampling occurs simultaneously in each of the four channels on the product. During operation, this product can independently carry out functional and connection diagnostics; it instantly recognizes potentially faulty measurements that may otherwise have erroneously been considered valid for long periods of time. It also carries out continuous internal checks and the constant monitoring of temperature and inputs to detect overload.

The current consumption E-bus of the ELM3604-0000 EtherCAT Terminal is about 650 milliamperes, the product also has an approximate weight of 0.35 kilograms. Heat is eliminated from this product through Natural convection. To preserve a permissible temperature range, the terminals should not be used at an ambient temperature that exceeds 60 degrees Celsius. The mounting and installation of this product should be done on a 35 millimeter DIN rail that conforms to EN60715. The mounting rail should also have a lock.
