The EK9000 is a multi-function EtherCAT coupler of the EK EtherCAT Coupler Series by Beckhoff, permitting simple integration of standard digital and analog EtherCAT Terminals and EtherCAT Box modules into Ethernet networks. A coupler is used to provide for effective communication in an EtherCAT system with the aid of coupler functions for connection of modules to networks via the protocols Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP.
