The EK1521-0000 is a 1-port EtherCAT junction with a multi-mode fiber-optic connection. This product is part of the EK EtherCAT Coupler series designed by the reputable Beckhoff company; it is designed to enable the configuration of EtherCAT star topologies using the 100BASE-FX glass fiber hardware. The combination of several units of this device can be used to establish a modular EtherCAT start hub.

The EK1521-0000 features an SC duplex socket, which, in conjunction with a compatible EtherCAT coupler, makes the conversion from 100BASE-TX to 100BASE-FX hardware possible. The product also permits side-by-side mounting through the use of a doubling slot and key connection. The wiring of connection cables into the EK1521-0000 is done with a specific push-in connection.
