The EK1400 coupler connects machines to high-speed networks for data flow between interlinked parts. It is a product of Beckhoff which leads industries by developing exceptional equipment for everyday use.

The EK1400 coupler acts as the connection point between systems that connect to G-type networks within industrial automation communication systems. A shielded Ethernet cable of minimum Cat.5 standards becomes necessary to guarantee secure data transfer. Two connected nodes can extend their cable lines to 100 meters as per the 1000BASE-T standard. The total number of possible connected modules amounts to 65,534 modules through its capability to handle extensive system dimensions. The addressing capability extends to 4.2 GB of I/O signals because the device supports various digital and analog input/output operations. Operational stability during harsh conditions is ensured by the EK series coupler unit which achieves vibration standards under EN 60068-2-6 and shock standards under EN 60068-2-27. The IP20 protection rating enables the device to be installed in different positions. The coupler mounts through a key-operated double slot arrangement letting users position devices without space or specialized tools.

The EK1400 coupler bears identification markings in line with the BZxxxx series format to speed up detection.
