Product Description:

The EK1310 is one of Beckhoff Automation's many state-of-the-art designs built to improve the speed and efficiency of communication in servo systems. This product is a single-port Ether CAT extension with a feeding; it provides operators with the opportunity to convert from an Ether CAT segment to an Ether CAT P network. The housing design of this product provides impressive protection against large foreign solid substances; polycarbonate is used for the construction of this housing due to its high thermal and electrical resistance. This product can also be used with Ether CAT segment configured from embedded PCs from the CX series. The only connection technology for this product is a 1 x P coded M8 socket, it is also used with Ether CAT P cables that are shielded and internationally certified. An external Feed-in unit is used for the power supply of this product.

The EK1310 has a 500 volt electrical isolation at the supply voltage interface, and it also consumes about 110 milliamperes during operation. During operation, this couple produce relatively low heat and runs at little to no risk of overheating. There are several diagnostic LEDs integrated into this product, which communicate the signal status to operators in real time. The EK1310 has no firmware.

The EK1310 installation of the should be done inside a control cabinet, a minimum clearance of 35 millimeters should be allowed above and below the unit for easy air circulation. The delivery package of this product is a recyclable cardboard box, which carries a type label containing information that can be used for its easy identification. This unit comes as a standard device; operators are not allowed to carry out any modifications to it, as this will void the warranty covering the product.
