Product Description:

The EK1101-0008 is an Ether CAT coupler built by Beckhoff Automation to transmit between the Ether CAT protocol to Ether CAT terminals. This coupler is built according to the IP20 protection category; it requires indoor installation and eliminates excess heat through natural convection. The couple features two M8 sockets integrated into its from the panel; it also supports connection lengths as high as 100 meters during its operation. Customers using this product are able to switch topologies; it also supports the connection of up to 65,535 Ether CAT terminals. The EK1101-0008 coupler requires an Ethernet/Ether CAT cable for the transmission of telegram signals; the cables used with the unit should be properly shielded and also belong to at least the category 5 level.

The EK1101-0008 supports up to 4096 different ID which can be configured by the operator. The accuracy and reliability of this unit are unrivalled, the expected duration of delay does not exceed 1 microsecond, and the data transmission rate is also maintained at a speed of 100 megabits per second. The operation of this product should be carried out in an ambient temperature that is between -25 and 60 degrees. The permissible temperature range for the storage and transportation of this unit is between -40 to 80 degrees Celsius.

The EK1101-0008 Ether CAT coupler has a compact size and a total weight that is estimated to be about 110 grams. It also conforms to vibration and shock resistance defined in the EN 60068-2-6. The installation of this product should be on a 35 millimeters DIN rail, which is secured with a lock and conforms to EN 60715. The wiring of this unit supports the use of a solid conductor, flexible conductor, and spring actuation by screwdriver.
