The EJ3214 is a Beckhoff manufactured EtherCAT Plugins Module. It belongs to the EJ Plugins series. It is considered an effective device which is well suited for industrial automation applications.
The EJ3214 EtherCat Plugins is built to function reliably across -25…+60°C industrial temperature ranges. It is designed to tolerate very high ambient humidity up to 95% as long as condensation does not occur which ensures internal electronics remain safe. For Pt sensors, it can read between -200 to +850 degrees Celsius of temperature. On the other hand, if Ni sensors are connected it can detect temperature ranging between -60 to +250 degrees Celsius. The module can simultaneously connect and read up to four different temperature sensors. This plugin module meets industrial electromagnetic compatibility standards which means it cannot be affected easily by electrical noise. It is highly flexible and supports a broad variety of RTDs such as Pt100 – 1000 and Ni100 - 1000. It is able to handle signals with frequency components up to about 1 kHz which helps reject very fast noise while maintaining sensor signal integrity. It can be safely stored in -40…+85°C temperatures without damage.
