The CU8800-0010 is a compact USB-over-Ethernet extender module from Beckhoff in the CU EtherCAT Junctions series. As a junction, it converts a local USB link into an Ethernet run so that operator panels or service tools can be placed away from the control cabinet. By accepting the USB host side on its upstream port and forwarding the signal through an Ethernet cable, the unit enables flexible layout of automation equipment without the signal degradation normally associated with long USB cables.
