CU8210-D004-0103 is a LTE USB stick for Beckhoff industrial PCs. It is designed for use in Australia, Brunei, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, and Thailand. Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is a standard for wireless broadband communication on mobile devices and data terminals. LTE offers faster download and upload speeds, lower latency, and improved capacity compared to earlier technologies like 3G. In addition to LTE, the modem on the CU8210-D004-0103 can also support GSM and 3G (UMTS). It is meant to be used with industrial PCs that require wireless connectivity. A slot for a mini-SIM is available on the stick. A built-in antenna is available and interfaces are available for external antennae. The SIM card slot is located under the cover. A name plate allows identification of the stick model is provided under the cover.
To protect the SIM card, the stick should only be removed from the PC when it de-energized. The stick works with the Windows operating system. Its driver – provided by Beckhoff – must be installed on the PC. Dimensions of the USB stick are 88 x 28 x 11.5 millimeters. Its weight is approximately 30 grams.
