Product Description:
The CP9030-5 panel PC assembly is produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It provides a remote display and I/O termination point so that a central industrial computer can be positioned in a protected enclosure while the operator interface remains on the machine frame. The product carries power, video, and peripheral signals through dedicated flat-cable connectors, supporting distributed control in production, packaging, and material-handling cells.
The signal backbone is formed by 2 coaxial cables for high-bandwidth video and 2 CP-Link channels that multiplex keyboard, mouse, and touch data. A 50-pin display connector mates with the LCD panel, while timing lines 4 DISPON, 7 ENAB, 10 HSYNC, 11 VSYNC, and 13 DISPCLK synchronize pixel output. Storage access is routed through a 34-pin FDD connector. Networked panels can be daisy-chained up to 100 m segment length without repeaters, allowing installation across long production cells. Separate headers supply 10-pin links for the external keyboard, PS/2 mouse, touchpad, touchscreen, and UPS control, and a 26-pin block handles additional external connections.
Power is delivered through the backplane; however, a local supply header with the pinout 1:12V, 2:GND, 3:GND, 4:5V and a 4-pin power header is provided for test or standalone use. The entire assembly normally draws its operating energy from the ISA Bus that seats the interface card. All 10-pin accessory headers share the same keyed shrouds to help prevent miswiring, and the system reserves equal 10-wire ribbons for keyboard, mouse, touchpad, touchscreen, and UPS status. Together with the panel’s 26-pin general-purpose connector, these interfaces allow connection of sensors, buttons, and lamps without additional breakout boards, while the 10-pin touchscreen link supports resistive or capacitive overlays used on compatible operator stations.
