Product Description:
The CP7931-1100-0000 is an operator panel computer built by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. As a fanless front-end unit, it combines a display and integrated electronics to provide a compact human-machine interface for machine lines, conveyors, and building services. The device acts as a remote visualization point, forwarding signals to a centralized IPC while presenting process data locally on its screen. This arrangement keeps the panel focused on display and operator input tasks rather than full local control processing.
The front of the panel measures 406 mm wide and 370.2 mm high, while its installation depth is only 27.5 mm, allowing flush mounting in shallow control cabinets. Visualization is provided by a 12 in TFT screen that renders at 800 × 600 pixels, giving basic SCADA graphics enough clarity for on-site diagnosis. An aluminum housing contributes mechanical strength, and fully sealed edges deliver a IP65 ingress rating on the front face. Interface wiring is handled through a 19-pole M16 DVI connector for video, a 4-pole M12 plug for power, and an 8-pole M9 socket for USB-E peripherals. The panel accepts commands through an alphanumeric PC keyboard, and installation uses an M6 mounting thread so it can anchor directly to machine frames without additional brackets. The shallow profile also leaves more room behind the mounting surface for wiring paths and nearby cabinet hardware.
For power, the unit requires a stabilized 24 VDC supply that can be routed up to 50 m away, matching distributed control layouts where the industrial PC remains in a protected rack. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, supporting placement on heated production lines or within sun-exposed kiosks. These operating limits affect cable sizing, cabinet ventilation, and protection relay settings. The remote supply arrangement also supports layouts in which the interface is mounted on a machine door or stand away from the main control enclosure.
