The CP Panel PC Systems series from Beckhoff includes the CP7903-1034-0000, an industrial panel PC front-end designed to present process data and accept operator commands at the machine level. It combines a display, touch interface, and protected connectors, allowing control cabinets to be simplified or omitted. In an automation cell, this unit provides a rugged human-machine interface for washdown or dusty areas. It relays video, USB, and power signals to the host industrial PC over extended-length cables.
The unit offers a 19 in TFT screen, giving operators a wide viewing area, while the housing is only 45 mm deep. The front of the housing meets an IP65 protection rating, which blocks airborne particles and low-pressure water jets on the production line. A regulated input of 24 VDC allows the panel to operate from common control-cabinet power supplies. Mechanical attachment uses an M6 mounting thread at each corner, simplifying integration with VESA arms or custom brackets. Power enters through a coded 4-pole M12 connector, preventing accidental cross-wiring with network or sensor lines. The housing measures 504 mm wide by 455 mm high, providing sufficient bezel space for a gasket without enlarging the display cutout.
The connector backshells meet an IP67 protection rating, so the cable ends resist temporary immersion during washdown. The video path can span up to 50 m because the panel uses a proprietary DVI-Extended link through a 19-pole M16 plug. This connection maintains full-HD video quality without requiring a signal repeater. Removable media and service tools are supported through the USB-Extended interface on an 8-pole M9 connector intended for industrial environments. The panel is supplied without physical keys, so operators enter commands through the touchscreen. This keyless arrangement reduces the number of moving components on the front surface. The fanless design avoids air intake openings that could draw debris into the housing. Its shallow depth permits installation in tight enclosures where space behind the display is limited.
