The CP7842-1006-0010 is a panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. This unit combines an industrial computer with a TFT operator display, allowing machine status, parameter entry, and visualization functions to share one front-mounted device. Installed on enclosure doors or pendant arms, it provides a compact human-machine interface that simplifies control tasks and reduces separate cabling between the display and controller in automated production cells.
The PC runs from a nominal 24 VDC supply delivered through a 4-pin M12 connector rated IP67. Its permissible operating window of 20.4–28.8 VDC tolerates voltage drops during motor starts or long cable runs. Visual output is routed through a DVI-D interface on a 19-pin M16 connector rated IP67, ensuring a fully digital signal path to external monitors. For service peripherals, a 5-pin M9 port supports the USB 1.1 standard, which is adequate for keyboards, flash drives, and barcode scanners. The front panel carries an IP65 rating, so dust deposits or water jets cannot penetrate the electronics during washdown. Four threaded mounting holes on the rear plate align the housing to VESA or custom brackets for secure mounting.
Beyond electrical and communication features, the panel is designed for mechanical durability. The enclosure withstands accelerations of 5 G, 30 ms without data loss, so it remains functional during incidental impacts from tooling or material handling. Continuous exposure to machine vibration is tolerated across 10–58 Hz 0.035 mm; 58–500 Hz 0.5 G, which helps keep connectors seated and the display readable on stamping presses or gantry axes. When equipment is stored between production runs, the unit can be kept at temperatures from -20 to +65 °C during unheated warehouse periods. A rigid Aluminum housing provides electromagnetic shielding and helps dissipate internal heat.
