Product Description:
The CP7721-1036-0010 is an industrial panel PC assembled by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines a projected-capacitive touchscreen with embedded PC electronics, enabling local visualization, deterministic control, and data logging in automated cells. Mounted directly on the machine arm, the computer reduces enclosure count and shortens I/O paths between the operator station and field devices. This arrangement places status displays and command entry close to the process, so machine states can be viewed without a separate workstation. The touchscreen interface also suits compact equipment where a remote display would add cable length and take up additional space.
The unit operates from a nominal 24 VDC supply, while operation remains stable down to 22 V at the connector. Power is delivered through a 4-pin M12 plug that accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm². The housing meets IP65, so dust and sprayed water are kept away from the electronics without an additional cabinet. Internally, the CPU uses DDR4-RAM for program execution, and the operating system resides on a CFast card that resists vibration. Two Ethernet ports support segmented networks, and each link can carry real-time EtherCAT traffic through an onboard Layer 2 switch. Conducted emissions conform to EN 61000-6-4, while immunity is validated against EN 61000-6-2. For legacy peripherals, a RS232 interface occupies the rear panel and shares an isolated logic domain to reduce the risk of ground loops.
The chassis tolerates 5 G of acceleration for 30 ms, protecting solid-state storage during transport or door impacts. A feed-through rated at 16 A allows auxiliary barcode scanners or stack lights to draw power without separate breakers. Each Ethernet drop may span 100 m, enabling installation across a production hall with standard twisted-pair cabling. The machine-mounted format keeps the computing node close to local peripherals, which can reduce cable routing complexity around moving machine sections. Because the sealed enclosure dissipates heat through the rear plate, clearance should be left for convection, and no fan kit is required.
