Product Description:
The CP7709-1024-0030 is a Panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines a compact display, computing core, and field interfaces in one sealed unit so that HMI software and PLC functions can run directly on the machine. By handling visualization and local control in the same housing, the panel helps simplify cabinet layouts and shorten signal paths on packaging lines, conveyors, and small assembly stations. The model is intended for front-panel installation where space and cleanliness are important.
An Intel Atom processor serves as the central logic element, supplying enough throughput for deterministic task cycles while keeping power consumption low. Because the enclosure is fanless, thermal management relies on conduction rather than moving air, which avoids filter maintenance and bearing wear. Operator feedback is presented on a 6.5 in LC screen that fits tight machine doors while still providing clear icons and trend lines. The panel renders graphics at 640 x 480 pixels, a format compatible with legacy VGA applications and many SCADA templates. System memory uses DDR2 RAM, which matches the Atom memory controller and supports stable real-time operation.
Network connectivity is provided by 2 x RJ45 ports that support auto-negotiating 10/100/1000 Mbit/s links, so one port can handle engineering access while the other can be used for fieldbus bridging if needed. Reliable operation is specified between 0 to 55 °C, and the front bezel meets IP65, which helps protect the interface against dust and low-pressure water jets when the supplied gasket is installed. The milled aluminum chassis adds structural stiffness and spreads processor heat across the housing. A regulated 24 V DC supply powers the electronics, and a 12-pin round socket carries the RS232 signal for legacy sensors or printers. Four M6 × 18 mm threaded holes on the rear simplify VESA or custom bracket mounting.
