Product Description:
The CP7703-0021-0040 is a compact Panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Acting as both an industrial computer and an operator interface, the unit runs control tasks, displays process data, and accepts touch input directly at the machine. By combining computing power, a display, and a sealed housing, it provides decentralized visualization and control in production cells, packaging machines, and conveyor stations.
A sealed four-pin M12 connector supplies the electronics with 22–30 VDC, and the mating plug is rated for 16 A, providing headroom for inrush current and attached peripherals. Communication is handled by dual network interface controllers that support 100/1000 Mbit/s through two independent Ethernet ports. Each interface can be configured for EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, or standard TCP/IP communication. An RS-232 port is included for legacy sensors. The aluminum front complies with IP65, blocking dust and water jets, while the fanless design supports operation from 0 °C to +45 °C. Internal push-in terminals accept control wiring up to 1.5 mm², and the protective earth stud requires a 4 mm² conductor to provide a low-impedance ground path. Unshielded twisted-pair network runs may reach 100 m without repeaters.
Mechanical mounting uses four M6 × 18 mm threaded holes on the rear panel, allowing the computer to attach directly to swing arms or VESA plates. During operation, the unit withstands vibrations of 10–58 Hz at 0.035 mm and 58–500 Hz at 0.5 G. It also tolerates shocks of up to 5 G for 30 ms, allowing installation on mobile or high-speed equipment. When stored or transported, the hardware remains within its permitted temperature range of −25 °C to +65 °C. These storage limits help protect the internal electronics when the system is powered down in unconditioned facilities.
