The CP7703-0021-0030 is a compact panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. Intended for installation on the front of an enclosure, the unit combines a projected-capacitive display with fanless embedded electronics to act as both an operator interface and a control computer in automated lines. By integrating visualization and PLC logic in one housing, it simplifies wiring and allows decentralized control nodes to be mounted directly on machinery. This arrangement supports compact machine layouts where computing hardware must sit near sensors, drives, and local operator controls.
The panel draws its logic power from a nominal 24 VDC supply that enters through a sealed 4-pin M12 connector, which provides secure connection and vibration-resistant locking. Volatile memory uses DDR4 RAM, giving the processor a high-bandwidth channel for real-time tasks, while nonvolatile data and the operating system reside on a CFast card that is accessible from the service side. This storage arrangement separates working memory from removable system media. The unit has two Ethernet ports, allowing separate network segments for fieldbus gateways or redundant topologies. Legacy peripherals connect through an RS-232 interface, and this line can also carry service diagnostics for older drives. A relative humidity limit of 95% without condensation allows operation in washdown areas or other humid spaces. The unit withstands shock levels of 5 G for 30 ms and vibration limits of 0.035 mm between 10–58 Hz and 0.5 G between 58–500 Hz, which helps protect solid-state media and connectors during machine impacts or continuous spindle loads.
